Total cooking time: 7-8 minutes
Do not overcook (the texture should feel tender, not too dense)

  1. Thaw
    Thaw in the fridge overnight (preferred) or thaw in cold running water for ~1 hour.

  2. Season and Preheat Medium-Low
    Season the ribeye with salt and pepper.
    Preheat oil in a pan on low-medium heat.

  3. Cook for 7-8 Minutes
    Cook the ribeye for 7-8 minutes on medium-low heat, flipping occasionally.
    Do not overcook! (If it feels like Seitan, it’s overcooked.)

  4. Rest and Finish
    Remove from heat and let the ribeye rest for 2-3 minutes.
    Add more salt, pepper, and steak butter.
